Glossary

Basic concepts that you need to know and understand in order to work effectively with the platform
  • Asset -- The digital asset (BTC, USDT, XRP, others)

  • Active position -- An open long or short position

  • Active strategies -- The strategies for which the bot is now tracking signals. Example: buy strategies are active after sell strategies have been executed

  • Base asset -- The first asset in a pair. For example, at the XRP/BTC pair, XRP would be the base asset

  • Quote asset -- The second asset in a pair. For example, at the XRP/BTC pair, BTC would be the quote asset

  • Editor -- the JavaScript tool for creating a trading strategy (the strategy config)

  • Instance -- The bot configuration

  • Feed -- The data source for an instance

  • Paper trading -- Simulated trading that allows to practice buying and selling assets without risking real money. While a paper trade, you can track of hypothetical trading positions

  • Live trading -- Real-time trading on your deposit on exchanges

  • Reversal strategy -- The type of trade when the bot is always in position. The bot will open a short position immediately after closing a long position. Applicable only for margin trading

  • Margin trading -- Type of trading that involves borrowing funds from the exchange

  • Long -- Opening a long position (to buy an asset)

  • Short -- Closing a long position (to sell an asset) or opening a short position in margin trading

  • P&L -- Profit & Loss

Trading strategies marks:

  • LE (Long Enter) -- The type of strategies to open long positions or close short positions (for example, BbandLE, RsiLE)

  • SE (Sell Enter) -- The type of strategies to close long positions or open short positions (for example, BbandSE, RsiSE)

  • LX (Long Exit) -- The type of strategies to close long positions (for example, BbandLX)

  • SX (Sell Exit) -- The type of strategies to close short positions (for example, BbandSX)
